Injazat Defence Services, an associate sponsor of GULF C4ISR 2009, a leading Gulf military conference held last January 19 to 21, 2009 at the Armed Forces Club in Abu Dhabi, UAE, hosted a key speech on systems integration during the event.
Injazat Defence invited senior EDS Defence & Security Consultant Matthew Sleap to deliver a speech entitled “Information Operations – A Prime System’s Integrator’s Perspective,” which discussed the sharing of intellectual benefits and capabilities across organizational boundaries. Topics explored within this presentation included Network Enabled Capability (NEC) infrastructure, themes and facilities; capability integration; modeling and simulation; military digitization; and effects-based operations.
“GULF C4ISR 2009 provides us with an excellent opportunity to share valuable insights and effective strategies on information operations, reflecting our meticulous approach to managing and handling critical data.
Secure information and data handling will continue to be vital components of any defence and security initiative, given the unpredictability of the regional and global threat environments. The conference provides an ideal platform to discuss how we can leverage technology to address some of these emerging issues. By inviting Matthew to speak on Information Operations, Injazat Defence Services will be able to demonstrate the comprehensive capabilities that it can bring into the region to support the commander and his staff.” said Philip Keating, Business Relations Manager, Injazat Defence Services.
Matthew joined several senior regional military communications speakers in exploring critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (4CI) issues and trends. C4I case studies from countries such as UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Bahrain were also discussed. In addition, GULF C4ISR 2009 featured advanced briefings from the US, Germany and Sweden, thus providing vital insights on the best NEC and Network-Centric Warfare strategies.
