Injazat Data Systems, the Middle East’s premier information technology and business process managed services provider, has today (Tuesday, June 02, 2009) opened the inaugural Data Centre Strategies Middle East 2009 Forum, which will run until June 3, 2009 at the newly built Injazat Auditorium.

More than 35 speakers and over 200 representatives from 13 regional and international partner companies will attend the pioneering strategic forum for data centres, to discuss pressing IT issues and trends such as cloud computing, cooling strategies, virtualization, next-generation data centre design, and effective business models and pricing strategies. Held under the patronage of Injazat, the event will also host the first data centre CEO panel for the Middle East, which will provide a comparative analysis of global data centre markets.

"The forum is an opportunity for the world’s top technology companies to interact and uncover new business prospects in the region. Furthermore, this event is in line with Injazat's vision to help ensure long-term sustainability and enhanced quality of ICT services and infrastructure across Middle East markets," said Ibrahim Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

With data centres recognised as the engine of the digital economy, the forum will highlight the defining strategies for data centres that support the development of digital markets across the Gulf and the Middle East region. The event will also discuss the business aspects of data centre operations and focus on environmentally-friendly operational approaches. Other topics to be discussed include future power strategies, service and outsourcing demand and strategies for growth, managed services, and the investment outlook for data centres.

"As the owner of the region’s first Tier IV design-certified data centre, Injazat is at the forefront of efforts to improve the standards of service and infrastructure management in the region’s IT industry. Injazat's hosting of this groundbreaking forum highlights our strong commitment to collaborating with some of the world’s top experts in the industry to share resources and establish Abu Dhabi and the UAE as truly world-class IT destinations," said George Pawlyszyn, Executive Director, Strategy and Business Development, Injazat Data Systems.

Injazat Data Systems is a joint venture between Mubadala Development Co. and EDS, a HP company with 46 years of global expertise in the IT managed services industry. The company holds more than 50 per cent of the UAE’s IT outsourcing market and is the owner of the first Tier IV design-certified Data centre in the region and the only one of its kind outside of North America.
